Job description
Najjuuko Notion is a new and exciting skincare brand built from the ground up, with a focus on moisturising and nurturing healthy, glowing skin. Our core ingredient is high-quality, organic Shea butter, sourced directly from Ghana. We're currently in the earliest stages of product development and are looking for passionate and committed individuals to join us on this journey.
This is a unique opportunity to be involved from the very beginning – shaping research, sourcing natural ingredients, and supporting the administrative foundations of the business. The ideal candidate will be based in Ghana and have a strong interest in field research and organisational support.
Research Administrator
Role Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Administrator. You will be hands-on in both field research activities and administrative operations, helping shape Najjuuko Notion product development with local knowledge and professional expertise.
This role will involve visits to shea butter farms and factories, data gathering, and supporting key organisational tasks as the business expands. Strong communication, organisational skills, and a proactive approach will be essential for ensuring the smooth running of early-stage research projects.
Confidentiality
All team members are expected to always understand and maintain confidentiality, especially regarding research data, ingredient sourcing, product formulations, and business strategy.
Collaborative Working – Working in a Team
We value open and effective communication. All staff must share information appropriately and work collaboratively and respectfully. Teamwork and flexibility will be key to your success in this role.
Measuring Success
Plans and outcomes by which to measure success will be agreed upon during onboarding. Regular check-ins and feedback will guide development and assess performance.
Key Responsibilities
Research Involvement
• Actively contribute to skincare research studies, including data collection and fieldwork.
• Conduct research into organic skincare ingredients, particularly shea butter, and identify local farms or suppliers.
• Identify and engage suitable participant groups for testing or user feedback.
• Support early formulation and ingredient trials

• Provide comprehensive administrative support for research projects including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and tracking research milestones.
• Maintain accurate, well-organised documentation of research activities, reports, and communication.
• Archive files and manage research records appropriately.
Communication and Collaboration
• Act as a point of contact for local suppliers, collaborators, and research partners.
• Attend local meetings or events to explore collaborative opportunities and community engagement.
Compliance
• Support adherence to research protocols and local regulations.
• Help maintain ethical and professional standards in all research-related activities.
Data Management
• Assist in collecting and storing data in a secure and organised manner.
• Ensure data integrity and follow all protocols to support the quality and success of the studies.
Person Specification
Qualifications
• Degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience
• Experience in research (academic, commercial, or non-profit), with both administrative and field involvement preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software tools.
Skills
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Attributes
